CoreHealth Chiropractic Visceral Manipulation

Visceral Manipulation

Visceral Manipulation (VM) was developed by world-renowned French Osteopath and Physical Therapist Jean-Pierre Barral who was voted by Time Magazine as one of the top healing innovators to watch in the new millennium.

Strains in the fascia (connective tissue) surrounding the organs can happen after surgery, from adhesions, infection, illness, poor posture or injury. Tension patterns can form throughout the fascia, creating a cascade of effects often far away from the initial source of the problem.

The body then has to compensate for these fixed points of tension that can then give rise to other structural and functional problems.

With VM we use specific evaluation techniques to find where these main tension points are and then treat what we find. These gentle adjustments can help to improve how the fascia works and therefore allow for optimum function of our internal body structure.

What our patients say

“As I have got to know Francesca I’ve discussed various niggles that I have experienced and she has been excellent at working on various parts of my body using techniques such as Visceral Manipulation. I love the experience so much I’d love to be able visit on a weekly basis!…”

EC, Kilmarnock

“Through regular treatment with Francesca I felt so much better and I was able to greatly reduce the amount of analgesia I was taking. She was able to balance parts of my system using Visceral Manipulation that definitely seemed to be the missing link in resolving my symptoms.”

LN, Kilmarnock
